Entrepreneur, artist, high-altitude mountaineer, public speaker, Theodore is especially known for climbing the 7 Summits and Volcanic 7 Summits, including Mount Everest. His Everest Ice Fall GoPro video has reached more than 3.6 million people.
A resident of Montreal, Quebec, he has also lived on the West Coast, Banff, and several years in Europe. He began drawing and painting as an early adolescent, loved long hikes and skiing in the outdoors in his teens, and embraced a lifelong love for peoples and cultures while traveling around the world beginning at age 22. He has doggedly pursued his passions in life, whether they be art, travel, business or climbing big mountains. His motif is: "It is not the size of the mountain; it is the size of the dream." In December 1969 he embarked alone for 32 days in the Himalaya Mountains up the Khumbu Glacier (5,200m) to the foot of Mount Everest.
High altitude trekking guide, public speaker, columnist, author and tester of specialized equipment, Emmanuel is recognized as an excellent pedagogue. Since the age of 19, he has traveled the world to practice rock climbing, ice climbing and trekking. He also guided many high altitude expeditions.
For him, no sporting challenge is impossible … if we prepare seriously. In 2008, he attempted the first Quebec expedition with a leave no trace ethic and without supplemental oxygen on Manaslu (8163 m), in Nepal. In 2013, he designed and realized the Forrest Gump challenge, a solo 24-hour race without stopping. No medals, no trophies. The reward? The satisfaction of surpassing oneself and the learning that such a challenge entails.
